Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin
The history of the university is a series of successive stages of formation and dynamic development. From an institute consisting of only three faculties, it turned into a research university, a scientific and educational center not only of the northern region, but also of the country.
The faculty of the university
S.Seifullin KATU is one of the 10 basic universities in the country that train personnel for projects of the state program of industrial and innovative development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019. The priority sectors for KATU are "Agricultural engineering" and "Food production". The partner of S.Seifullin KATU is the University of California at Davis (UCDavis, USA), the world's leading research university in the agricultural profile, with which new educational programs are being developed jointly.
According to the results of the world university ranking conducted by the QS WorldUniversityRankings® agency 2014/15, S. Seifullin KATU entered the top 701+ best universities; it is a full member of the Magna Charta Universitatum, creating the basis for the formation of a single European educational space.
Today KATIU
This is a multidisciplinary university with its own established scientific schools, thanks to which the foundation of the current teaching staff was created.
Currently, the university has nine faculties and 37 departments. Over 12 thousand students, master's degree students, and doctoral students study at the university's nine faculties in 57 bachelor's degree programs, 52 master's degree programs, and 33 PhD degree programs.
